Butterflies can act as an indicator of the state of the environment, allowing us to assess the impact of climate change and the progress of initiatives to progress bio-diversity. Friends of Linn Park set up two butterfly transects (measured walks) within the park in 2018 and have been recording ever since. We have regular volunteer sessions which meet each Tuesday morning in the park – at 10am – for a couple of hours volunteering. You are welcome to join us. Please look on facebook as the location for the meet may change depending on the area we are working in.
We also have regular meetings each month in the library at the Couper Institute. These are usually at 6.30 on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to join us.
