This area of the park demonstrates the natural diversity of the Local Nature Reserve. There are woodlands, grassy glades between, some steep slopes and some gentler gradients. One butterfly transect makes it’s way through this area of the park. Friends of Linn Park have been managing the glade areas as meadows to improve the diversity of the plant life.

We have regular volunteer sessions which meet each Tuesday morning in the park – at 10am – for a couple of hours volunteering. You are welcome to join us. Please look on facebook as the location for the meet may change depending on the area we are working in.
We also have regular meetings each month in the library at the Couper Institute. These are usually at 6.30 on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to join us.
