White Bridge

The elegant single span White Bridge is also know as the Linn Park Bridge or the ‘Ha’penny’ Bridge after the circular holes in the cast iron span. It was built as an access point across the White Cart between 1811 and 1835. It is the oldest known complete iron bridge in Glasgow with a 1950’s concrete deck. The bridge is now restricted to pedestrian use.
