The History of the Estates<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The current area covered by Linn Park Local Nature Reserve is made up from areas of four different estates;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Castlemains<\/strong> – including the remains of Cathcart castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hagtonhill<\/strong> – the bulk of the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bogton<\/strong> – the section where the park is entered from Clarkston Road<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goldenlee<\/strong> – the area the White Cart Walkway runs through from the white bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traces of each estate can be seen in the landscape, layout and features of Linn Park today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
