We received funding from Future Woodlands Scotland which has allowed us to invest in our community field to form a growing area for wildflowers and trees to improve and maintain the biodiversity of the park and surrounding area.
We built a polycrub! A robust structure which will allow us to bring on plants and trees from seed.
We have been working hard to develop our community growing field. Our polycrub is established, our container was delivered and we have a few more things to do before we welcome you at the open day on the 23rd August from 2pm.
We have regular volunteer sessions which meet each Tuesday morning in the park – at 10am – for a couple of hours volunteering. You are welcome to join us. Please look on facebook as the location for the meet may change depending on the area we are working in.
We also have regular meetings each month in the library at the Couper Institute. These are usually at 6.30 on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to join us.
