The remains of Cathcart Castle sit above the path on a rocky outcrop. It is a scheduled ancient monument. There are only head height walls remaining of the structure now, the castle having been abandoned and partly demolished in the 18th Century with further demolition carried out in 1980.
We have regular volunteer sessions which meet each Tuesday morning in the park – at 10am – for a couple of hours volunteering. You are welcome to join us. Please look on facebook as the location for the meet may change depending on the area we are working in.
We also have regular meetings each month in the library at the Couper Institute. These are usually at 6.30 on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to join us.
